Hello all. Finally got my blog up and running despite the lack of help from Godaddy. Actually, I should be fair and say the guy did attempt to help me but they just don’t setup blogs very often. He recommended I download their version of WordPress, which just doesn’t appeal to the geeky side of my personality. A couple of google searches later I found the issue and had it resolved.
Note to other bloggers – even though WP says the database name of localhost will work for 99% of configurations, godaddy falls in the 1% that doesn’t.
