I’ve been very remiss in not blogging enough. I am very happy to get back to it though with my first wedding of 2013. Susan & Alex had their wedding at Fearrington Village in Chapel Hill, NC. The Fearrington is a gorgeous location with beautiful natural shooting areas, unique structures and so many places to have a wedding.
They chose to have a small & intimate wedding in the Sun Room. With as many times as I have photographed weddings at Fearrington Village, I have never photographed a ceremony in this room so I was really excited. With a fireplace as the backdrop, Susan & Alex exchanged vows in front of about 40 of their family and friends.
Alex is from Greece and much of his family flew in for this momentous occasion so it was important to both of them to spend much of their time with both families. As such, instead of a traditional wedding reception, they elected to have their reception in the Fearrington Granary – one of the restaurants on the grounds.
The food was amazing and, I can honestly say, I have never seen such an assortment of food at any wedding previously. From smoked salmon to tenderloin to hummus, I think maybe they had simply said “we’ll have one of everything”.
I’d like to give our most heartfelt congratulations to Susan & Alex. We were honored to be present for your wedding and wish you both a very happy life together!
