Over the past year I’ve really gotten to know quite alot about Rachel & Ed. Rachel’s parents happen to be friends of my in-laws and I’ve worked with Rachel & Ed on 3 separate occasions for their e-session photography, bridal portrait and the actual wedding photography. So to say I was looking forward to seeing them again was very accurate! I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding at their church on Franklin St. in Chapel Hill and I was not disappointed. I don’t want to jinx myself but for the 2nd week in a row, I had great light to photograph weddings with, which certainly seems to be the exception in this area.
After the wedding, we walked to the Old Well on the UNC campus to do a few “casual formal” photographs I enjoy as well a few pictures of the happy couple alone. Unfortunately it also happened to be the hottest day of the year so far so we quickly made a run for the cars to hit the Carolina Club. When we arrived to the wedding reception, I was really floored with the beauty of the Carolina Club. Alot of my time is spent in Raleigh and while we have beautiful places to photograph, there was something different here – very fitting for the beautiful wedding reception. One of the things I truly enjoy about being a wedding photographer is all of the different people you meet and places you get to see.The Carolina Club was no exception and after the wedding reception was over, the happily married couple pulled away in a white excalibur with all of their wedding guests blowing bubbles.
I want to give a very warm and heartfelt congratulations to both Rachel & Ed! Photographs of their lovely event are below!
