Rachel & Ed – Engagement Session in Chapel Hill NC

I met Rachel at the January 2009 Bridal show and, as it turns out, her family knows my in-laws (no pressure right?) so I have been looking forward to working with her and her Fiance for a while now.  They both grew up in and around Chapel Hill so shooting their engagement session on the UNC campus was an easy choice.  As an added bonus I get to see inside their church and, let me digress, I am SOOO excited to be photograping at a church that has honest to goodness LIGHT in it!  Ok, back to the e-session…  as I like to do, we met up and just walked around picking our spots to photograph.  I typically throw away my first few shots as most people are a little nervous at having a camera pointed at them.  That really wasn’t the case here…  As soon as Ed and Rachel locked up in their first embrace, it was obvious they were immediately comfortable and even though we didn;t set out to have a huggy/touchy/feely e-session, I don’t think I could of gotten them apart.

As we walked around the Campus, we stopped at the old well, a wonderful brick sidewalk, the UNC gardens (complete with trees to climb) and I finally got to do a shot I’ve really been wanting for a while involving pedestrians and a crosswalk.

So, without further nonsense from me, I’d like to present Rachel & Ed!
