Raleigh Engagement Session | NCSU | Sara & Bryan

Weddings are amazing opportunities to not only celebrate a new phase in your life with your family and friends, it’s also a great way to get some amazing photos that, ordinarily, you may not have. For Sara & Bryan, we wanted to shoot their Raleigh engagement session in a way to capture important parts of their life. Both of them went to NCSU so it was a great opportunity to get back to campus and use the beautiful surroundings to make their engagement photos even more meaningful.

If you aren’t familiar with the NCSU campus, we hit a few really notable areas like the belltower, the quad and the brickyard which are all notable and recognizable parts of the university. With NCSU being so close to downtown Raleigh, we took the opportunity to visit the Boylan st bridge which has one of most recognizable views of the downtown area.

So there is a photo I had always wanted to attempt but conditions have to be just right. Warm enough for car windows to be rolled down, the proper height vehicle and, well, the most difficult part, getting the timing right. We managed to have ALL of these factors align at once which delivered one of my favorite engagement photos of all time! A photo of the two of them thru a moving car window. Nope, that wasn’t done in post-processing. :)

I hope you enjoy a few photos from their downtown Raleigh engagement session! As always, if you’d like to know more about this wedding or interested in having me photograph yours, please reach out to me!
