When I shoot an engagement session, bridal portrait, wedding or any other type of “portrait” photography, I always like to photograph 3 different types of photos. Photos for the couple, photos for their parents, and photos for me. Ideally the photos for me and the couple will be the same so we end up with some amazing photography. The engagement photo below was taken on the Boylan St. Bridge in Raleigh, NC after we had done shots of them with the Raleigh skyline in the background. It’s kind of funny to me because we would “wait” for the cars to pass to photograph them with the skyline. Once I was done with those we had to wait for cars to pass so I could try this shot.
To answer a few questions:
- No, this is not photoshopped
- It took about 60 photos to make this happen (I got 2 keepers)
- No, you can’t “time” this photo – you have to shoot on high speed mode, a lot. lol
Anyway, I was thrilled to receive a wedding photography award from Wedisson in their 35th collection.
