Steph & Kevin | Duke Chapel | Nasher Museum of Art Wedding

In spring of last year, Steph & Kevin had their absolutely stunning Duke Chapel wedding & Nasher Museum of Art reception and wedding reception. Their day started off at the Kings Daughters Inn, where the bride, groom, bridal party and their parents and close friends all got ready. It was really important to Steph that she tie Kevin’s bowtie before the wedding ceremony, but didn’t want to do a first look. So we ended up blindfolding Kevin so she could be right in front of him without them seeing each other. LOL. For those of you that know me, I had a hard time not messing with Kevin while he was blindfolded.

They headed over to Duke Chapel where Stephanie got dressed for the wedding. I shoot at Duke Chapel quite a lot but it never gets old – it’s such an amazing wedding venue and I find new angles every time I am there. Their wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we certainly got some amazing photos of the two of them alone and surrounded by their friends and family.

After Duke Chapel, we headed to their wedding reception at the Nasher Museum of Art. I’ve photographed here quite a bit as well and the space is really amazing! One thing my lovely couple did was put up a white draped wall to section off the dining area from the cocktail hour. I was a little suspicious at first but it turned out beautiful and really helped to break up such a large space but let you still enjoy it. The reception was so much fun!!  Everyone was dancing and partying and we ended the night off with a Michael Jackson impression and a little dance off, thanks to their band, Soul Play.

As always, I hope you enjoy a small collection of their wedding photos!
