This past weekend I held a photography lighting class in Raleigh for professional photographers. The class is geared towards portrait and wedding photographers to teach both off-camera lighting and how to turn the most dire conditions into amazingly beautiful photos. I only teach this class every few years and will probably not teach in Raleigh again, so if you’re interested in attending a future class, drop me a note and let me know where you are located. You can also always check my photography lighting class schedule on my education website.
A special shout out to MagMod for providing us a free starter kit (with a mag grip, mag sphere and mag grid) for one lucky person who attended. We did most of out work using at least one MagMod modifier and we covered everything from reception lighting, how to manage shadows, light physics, creative lighting and how to get creative when the entire deck is stacked against you as far as location goes.
Here’s a few photos from the class! Special thanks to our model, Ellen, for absolutely killing it!
