Duke Chapel – Duke Gardens Wedding | Jenn & Han

Jenn & Han decided on a Duke-Centric spring wedding in Durham, NC. They had their afternoon Duke Chapel Wedding in the 12pm ceremony slot giving us lots of natural light both inside and outside of the chapel. They started their day at the Mayton Inn, in Cary, NC, getting ready for their wedding with their family and friends. Their wedding reception took place at Duke Gardens, where they dined outside under a clear tent and had their wedding DJ, cake and dancing inside the Doris Duke center.

Duke Chapel weddings are really amazing affairs! The chapel itself is absolutely amazing both inside and out. With the recent remodeling completed, it really lets the true beauty shine! Couples camp out a year in advance just to get a chance to have their wedding here so its not uncommon to see a few tents outside, especially at the end/beginning of each month. One of my favorite moments for weddings here are when the bride is walking down the aisle. It’s such a long aisle that we have a chance to capture the guests, and grooms’ reaction as they walk. After the ceremony, we had a chance to go outside into the duke chapel arcades and get some great couples portraits.

Their Duke Gardens wedding reception was absolutely breathtaking! With a clear tent, complete with chandeliers, erected outside the Doris Duke Center, the flowers, table settings, cocktail area, chalk boards and linens were absolutely perfect for such  beautiful setting. Kelley Ann, with a Southern Soiree wedding planners, really outdid herself helping to coordinate the overall feel of the reception. The couple dined outside under the tent with their guests before retreating inside to celebrate! Here are the amazing vendors which brought together such an amazing day for our couple!
