It’s been a tremendously busy past few weeks. So busy that I’ve really neglected my blogging. However, I promise the lull in posts will be made up by the below photos. Last week I was in beautiful Charleston, SC attending a workshop hosted by a local award winning photographer, Shane Snider. Shane recently was recognized as the 4th best Wedding Photojournalist in the world by the WPJA. Over the 3 day photography workshop, we discussed business, photography, styles, vendor relations, etc. Basically any topic that could be seen as making you a better photographer was discussed in detail.
On Friday, we got the chance to visit two beautiful locations in Charleston. Lowndes Grove is a stunning estate on the waterfront that caters to events, weddings & receptions. Built in 1786, it is a shining momument to historic southern architecture and we all were very fortunate to have been allowed in to photograph.
After that, we visited the American Theatre which is beautiful art-deco theatre used for events and meetings. With authentic movie posters from the 1950’s adorning the walls and dramatic styling, this was a great treat for any photographer.
After the shoot, I realized I had over 600 images from both properties. The main subject was two recent brides who gracisouly volunteered their time to get back into their wedding dresses and model for us. We really focused on getting out of our comfort zone over the session and the results are nothing short of breath-taking!
Hope you enjoy the photos!
