It seems like when I get to shoot weddings at one of my favorite places, I tend to “gorge” on them. LOL. Megan & Nick’s wedding had me back at Bay 7 for a 2nd week in a row – not that I am complaining of course. It’s actually really cool to see how a creative space changes with the taste of each bride. For my happy couple, they were really interested in a great party, music, dancing & food! I had been working with both of them for quite some time for the engagement session and bridal portraits, so the actual wedding day was a bit bittersweet knowing it was the last event i’d be photographing for their wedding.
What I love about Weddings at Bay 7 is blending the technical challenges of shooting in such a wide open space with capturing the pure joy, emotion & happiness from a client. Throughout the entire process, I had gotten to know my couple pretty well and it honestly felt like seeing family again when their big day finally arrived. The ceremony was at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church which is a place I have driven by at least 100 times but never been inside. After the ceremony, we headed over to the American Tobacco Campus to shoot some bride & groom portraits for just the couple.
The evening went off perfectly, of course, with Megan & Nick celebrating with their family & friends – so many who had flown in for the event. I hope you enjoy a few photos from one of my favorite Weddings at Bay 7!
