While I have lots of favorite places to photograph, urban locations hold a special place in my heart. I photographed Jefry & Zenia’s downtown Raleigh engagement using a few of my favorite spots and a few new ones. When I first met Jefry & Zenia I discovered he was a budding photographer. I say that a bit tongue in cheek because he’s actually a quite talented photographer so, no pressure, right? In our discussions about their wedding and their engagement session photography, the word fashion, glamour and modern came up. Part of what I love doing is find out those little details about my clients then work that into our photography.
With Jefry being a photographer, I was super excited to “play” because I had the opportunity to do some truly out of the box thinking and incorporate it into their session. This not only worked out to make some truly beautiful photography, but to reinforce that I really don’t want to be an ordinary wedding photographer.
