Angus Barn Wedding | Jeanette & Jordan

As you’re reading my blog, you undoubtedly see lots of huge, elaborate weddings but that’s not always accurate. This recent Angus Barn Wedding was a small & intimate wedding held in their infamous wine cellar. I love these intimate affairs just as much as the big blowout weddings because of how they just fit the couple.

If you aren’t familiar with the Angus Barn wine cellar, it’s one of the exclusive dining areas inside the main restaurant. Accessible through the kitchen or a non-descript exterior door, the cellar offers a luxurious space with illuminated stained glass windows, a massive table, a dedicated kitchen & bar and direct access into one of the most highly rated wine cellars on the east coast.

Weddings in the Angus barn wine cellar have a maximum seating capacity of either 25 or 40 people, depending on which of the 2 rooms you are in. We were in the smaller room for their ceremony as it was perfect for the small # of attendees.. The low ceilings and coziness of the setting makes for a very intimate wedding where the normal “formality’ just doesn’t exist. After their ceremony, we went into the wine cellar itself for some of their couples portraits. As a side note, I’ve had many people ask what really makes a “professional photographer”… my response is to show them photos like these. Abysmal lighting conditions, very little room to move and surrounded by hundreds of thousands of dollars in somewhat fragile containers.

After we left the wine cellar (and I could breathe again), we were able to explore the grounds around the main restaurant for more photos and to give my couple a nice few minutes away from everyone so they could share in their newly minted marriage privately.

I hope you enjoy a few photos from their wedding! As always, if you’d like to know more about this wedding or interested in having me photograph yours, please reach out to me!
