I really, really hate I have to make a post regarding the current state of affairs for our company. COVID-19 has absolutely decimated the service & event industry as a whole so it’s prudent to give an update on where we are. I am very, very fortunate as I have an array of clients outside of these 2 industries so we can better weather this storm but make no mistake, for small businesses like us, this is a storm of epic proportions and we are all concerned. Our studio is open and will continue to be open unless we notify you otherwise. We are limiting who can visit for safety reasons however we aren’t a high traffic area so I don’t forsee any changes to this policy.
First and foremost, the safety and health of our clients, their families, friends along with ours take priority. In our studio, we are very lucky in regards to the virus to being in good health and not among the most vulnerable groups. However we also realize that with interacting with so many different and diverse groups of people, we must remain vigilant in taking steps to insure WE don’t carry the virus and cause infection among others. We are taking all recommended steps to insure that does not happen (no handshakes, hugs, washing our hands at every opportunity, cleaning our workspaces & gear regularly, not being around large groups of people, etc). With that being said, we are still open for business and will work with our clients to come up with any creative solution required to document their event – as long as it can be done safely and within government recommendations/regulations. We also conduct video chats with clients who cannot come in. We are happy to do this with anyone locally as well while this virus runs its course.
With the news moving so fast, it’s difficult to put a finger on anything as far how to proceed if you have an event scheduled. I can say that, obviously, large indoor events are not happening as of today or in the immediate future. We have cancelled or re-scheduled 14 events so far, and that’s not even to the end of April. We will work directly with our clients to re-schedule anything they can. We do ask that you be understanding that future prime dates may be difficult to reserve. Like many businesses, we are taking a loss by re-scheduling so your understanding by not trying to book a prime Saturday in the fall is much appreciated.
Whether you are a new client or someone I’ve been working with for years, I cannot tell you how much your support thru the years has meant. We’ve lived the dream of being full-time professional photographers for over 15 years thanks to you. We look forward to another 15 years.
If you have any questions at all regarding your event, your shoot or your photography, please feel free to reach out. If you have a shoot that you need (headshots, architectural, product, food) we have discounted our prices in an effort to help us with lost business AND to help you during these trying times.
