One I love about being a wedding photographer is the creativity we get to use on a daily basis. Not just in our photography, but in all aspects, even the boring business stuff we all need to do. A great example is Laura & Wilson’s Boston engagement session I shot last year.
When I first started talking with Laura & Wilson, they mentioned wanting an engagement session but live in Boston. While they are having their wedding at the NCMA, they couldn’t find the time to come down to Raleigh for the session. So we got creative… Boston is a city that was on my “list” to visit and even though I’d never been, I know the city is an amazing place to photograph and I really wanted to make this happen. So not exactly a destination wedding, but a destination engagement session for me. :)
So, as chance would have it, Laura works for an airline and, well, the rest is history. I snagged a very reasonable ticket to fly up there, have a bowl of authentic clam chowder (While I say Boston was on my list, it’s really because I wanted to be a tourist and experience the Chowda) and shoot an awesome engagement session!
I hope you enjoy a few photos from their downtown Raleigh engagement session! As always, if you’d like to know more about this wedding or interested in having me photograph yours, please reach out to me!
