Raulston Arboretum Engagement Session | Carlin & Nick

I had a wonderful time photographing Carlin & Nick’s Raulston Arboretum engagement session. When we originally discussed the locations for the session I always discuss the overall feel with my clients to determine the best locations. They really enjoy the garden feel and Raulston arboretum has a vast offering of different looks and feels. With the water features, open fields, metal structures, ornate brick work and, of course, amazing flora & fauna, the location perfectly fit their taste & style.

Due to timing constraints, we had to shoot the session in the mid-morning. Any wedding photographer can tell you this makes things a bit dicey as the light is NOT cooperative. We chatted about this and I got one of the nicest compliments “We know you can make amazing photos in ANY light”..  dawwwww. :) Needless to say we had an amazing session and I got to play in harsh light which is always fun!

Please check a few photos from their Raulston Arboretum engagement session below.

  • […] There was only a limited number of guests allowed and between the immediate family and photographers, we were at the limit. Their wedding guests watched the ceremony remotely from their reception venue. Upon arriving to the reception, it was like a tale of 2 worlds. While the ceremony was peaceful & intimate, the reception truly showed how many friends and family had come to be a part of their wedding day! If you haven’t seen them already, you should really check out their engagement session. […]ReplyCancel
