Christina & Justin had a problem.. they needed a location for their Coptic Christian ceremony but their church wasn’t available for the day they had planned. During one of our discussions, I mentioned that Duke Chapel should work as they permit any religious ceremony. As luck would have it, Christina has ties to the university so she reached out and, well, the rest is history.
Christina got ready at her house, which is something I love photographing,. Having access to parts of of their life helps bring context and familiarity to the photos. She was surrounded by her family and, as is tradition, they had a dance celebration prior to the wedding ceremony.
Our wedding day was scheduled a little different then most. We had a first look at the American Tobacco campus and brought out the bridal party & parents as well for some less “formal” formal photos. From there, we headed over to their Duke Chapel wedding where we had another chance for photos before their ceremony.
Their wedding reception was held at Bay 7 on the american tobacco campus. This beautiful facility is managed by the Angus Barn and gives you the service and amazing food you expect from such a prestigious establishment.
